great customer service and complimentary champagne
Asheville is my kind of city. Easy to navigate. Plenty of downtown parking lots. Small enough to not feel overwhelmed. Friendly. Quirky with a artsy feel to it. Good dining options. In a beautiful setting, no wonder George Vanderbilt built the Biltmore Estate here and what a great tour that was. AMAZING! Also close to the Grove Park Inn where lunch of dinner on the Sunset Terrace is a treat. Never felt unsafe and traffic wasn't terrible. My kind of city - a really nice, small -big city.

We were not there to see alot of the city although we were driven through the busy, lively area where people live, eat and enjoy. Was crowded but very nice. We also hiked Linville Falls which is beautiful and worth seeing.

Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile.
Biltmore is spectacular and well worthwhile. The old historic buildings are so interesting to look at. It's nice to see the architecture preserved. The River Arts districts are a definite plus. There are many quirky, unusual and interesting shops. The pace is relaxed and people are friendly.

The Audubon Bird Sanctuary was just right for us Californians. We enjoyed the Botanic Garden and the Arboreum. We spent some time in downtown, The Blue Ridge Parkway near the city but skipped the overpriced Biltmore Estate. It is different but Weird might be a bit of a stretch compared to Austin or Portland. We missed most of the Arts district murals. Enjoyed the Cat Cafe and the Malaprop's Bookstore and the Woolworth's . We ate at the top rated 5 Points Restaurant. Great for atmosphere and food,

People we met throughout the city were friendly and welcoming. They seemed ready to accommodate tourists with open arms. We recommend taking a walking tour to get a sense of the city and its history. Biltmore was fabulous-even in the rain. The staff at Biltmore went out of their way to resolve an unexpected issue we encountered. Asheville deserves its reputation as a "foodie town." We didn't allocate enough time to see and do all we wanted.

There are a lot of weird, nasty looking people around, comprised of a variety of dirty homeless people, hippies, and sexual deviants. They generally keep to themselves, however, and we always felt safe exploring Asheville's many fine attrations.
The Albermarle Inn is such a beautiful house within easy driving distance of downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. My husband and I found it to be quiet and extremely relaxing and the staff go out of there way to make it so by just giving you space but being there if you need help. The property and gardens are immaculate and our room on the first floor was large and extremely comfortable. It was a perfect few days for us.
Clean, updated, great location if traveling by car. Nothing really in walking distance though. Breakfast is good but not great. They have omelettes you heat up, and a waffle maker and some yogurt and pastries, juice and coffee. But for the price I don't expect a restaurant. TV has about 130 channels. Downtown Asheville is a pretty short 5-7 minute drive too. I like this Best Western Hotel enough that I've stayed twice now.
Breakfast was average. Server was professional and provided great customer service. Location is ideal for those visiting Biltmore Estate and downtown Asheville. T.G.I.F Fridays restaurant attached to hotel was subpar. Took quite awhile to get meal and when arrived cooked broccoli was raw, lettuce in salad was brown. Server was apologetic for taking so long to bring our meal.
Super chill and friendly staff. Special shoutout to Keith who made our stay fun and memorable.
Great location: in the best part of Asheville, close to a lot of nice restaurants and bars and with an easy bus connection to downtown and the River Arts District. Clean. Easy to connect with other guests. Private parking.
The location within downtown Asheville and the beds were by far the best thing about this hotel. It’s literally in the center of downtown and within walking distance to everything! The beds were so comfortable, when we got home we ordered bedding similar to what was on the beds at the hotel.
This hotel was awesome. It was one of the best rooms my wife and I had ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly and the bar was great. The location was amazing. I don't think the location could be any better in downtown Asheville. My wife and I had a great time! Thanks Kimpton!
Almost new hotel in close proximity (walking) to historic downtown. Very friendly employees from the front desk to the security personnel. Zero complaints. Just a bit sketchy neighborhood but most of Asheville is like that.
Loved the hotel. Great location with quick access to downtown Asheville. It's your typical IGH hotel. Great value for money as well. We did get a free upgrade to a suite when checking in, which was a great bonus to receive!
Timothy and other staff at front desk were great. Room was just fine as was the morning breakfast. Not as close to downtown Asheville as we had wanted but we made do. Hotel is very clean as was our room.
We had an amazing stay! The hotel was lovely. We enjoyed the rooms, pool, welcome reception with cheese and wine, and the terrace that overlooked the city. One of the best hotels I've been to in awhile!
Great quality for great price. The location is close to downtown. My husband's family lives in Asheville so we travel often and have stayed here many times. You can't go wrong with the Best Western.
A very comfortable hotel with a short walk to the centre of Asheville. Plenty of free parking which was a bonus for the location. Room was reasonable, light and airy
Our room was good. The hotel location was excellent, we were close to downtown, the Biltmore, Grove Park Inn, and other activities. We had a great experience.
Very accommodating and courteous staff😇.Rooms large with great views of DT Asheville. Really quiet room at night for a downtown hotel. Car Valet prompt.
